Michel Legrand was born in Paris, France in 1932. He was fluent in jazz and classical idioms. He worked with such film luminaries as Jacques Demy, Agnus Varda, and Jean-Luc Godard and with singers Henri Salvador, Catherine Sauvage, Jacqueline Fran?ois and Maurice Chevalier.
