Much of the music from Portuguese composer Manuel Cardoso (1566-1650) was lost in a 1755 Lisbon earthquake. Nevertheless, we still have a fine body of religious compositions, befitting one who was a chorister at Évora Cathedra and later a Carmelite.- Category ID : 24169
