Chicago Botanic Garden, an Illinois botanical museum, offers 23 beautiful gardens on 385 acres, plants, flowers, greenhouses, educational classes, plant information.

Established by Congress in 1820, the United States Botanic Garden is the oldest botanic garden in North America. Since 1849 the Garden has been located at the eastern end of the Mall.

The gardens were opened in 1832, designed by J. C. Loudon, a leading garden planner, horticultural journalist and publisher
